Full Disclosure Delivers In Grand River Pop-Up Series

Full Disclosure was in full flight in one of two $6,500 Pop-Up Pacing Series divisions as he crushed the class with a 13-3/4 length triumph on Monday, Sept. 23 at Grand River Raceway.

As the second leg of the series, the Pop Up Pacing Series was open to starters not averaging $650 per start in 2024 with a minimum of 10 starts and also eligible were leg one starters.

Austin Sorrie and Full Disclosure teamed up from post seven in the first split with nine starters. The post was no problem for the Ashley Lendvoy student as he zoomed out of the gate and opened up by four lengths at the :27.1 quarter. He was up by 5-1/2 lengths at the :55.3 half and eight lengths at the 1:23.1 three-quarters. Without letting up, Full Disclosure had his eyes on the wire and cleared by 13-3/4 lengths over the field in 1:51.4. Hamsandwich (Steven Hudon) was second and Hes Sporty (Garrett Rooney) finished third.

Gino Toscani owns the five-year-old son of Sweet Lou-Hilarious as he recorded his second win of the season and seventh career win. In 92 starts, Full Disclosure has banked $134,570. As the 4-1 second choice, he paid $9.30 to win.

Bettor Than Pride ($3.40) took the second division by a neck at the wire in 1:53.4 with Garrett Rooney in the bike for trainer Gerald Lilley. The five-year-old Betterthancheddar-Lizas Pride gelding recorded his second win of the year and sixth career victory. He is owned by Fred Naclerio.
