Lets Leavem was best in the first Racing Under Saddle event of the season at Kawartha Downs on Saturday, September 23, winning by more than 12 lengths.
Sarah Town owns and was aboard the seven-year-old gelding by Angus Hall. Shane Arsenault trains the winner who was recording his sixth victory of the 2017 season.
Kawartha's leading-driver Nick Boyd reached the milestone of 100 lifetime wins a week ago. He added to that total with a pair of wins Saturday, the first coming with Liplock, a two-year-old filly he trains and steered in her maiden-breaking performance in her fourth start. A daughter of Art Major, she was victorious in 1:57.2.
Kiss Me Or Not provided Nick with his second win as they overtook pacesetter Oakrock Eldorado to win in 1:54.3. It was a seasonal best for the Mach Three six-year-old daughter owned and trained by Dave Snowden.
Next Saturday marks the final race night at Kawartha Downs for the 2017 season and features the Shorelines Drivers’ Championship for the track’s top drivers of the year including Boyd and Rick Webb who recorded a driving triple this evening. Post time is 7 p.m.
