North State Street Stable’s Monochromatic recorded her 53rd career win Tuesday with a 1:53 win for driver Jim Morand in the $18,000 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway.
The venerable nine-year-old left from post position five and never relinquished her lead in a wire-to-wire triumph over Embassy Seelster and Springforth, who finished in a dead heat for second.
Trained by Dylan Davis, Monochromatic boosted her seasonal earnings to more than $94,000 and career bankroll to an impressive $848,305. She paid $4.60.
Driver Victor Kirby had five wins on the program, including a decisive score in the $13,750 Open II with Ken Wood, Bill Ditmar and Stephen Iaquinta’s Jeremes Sweetheart ($3.20) in 1:52. Montrell Teague recorded a driving triple. Allan Davis and George Dennis each won two races.
