Going a first-over trip, Leafs And Wings wore down pacesetter Brother Aidan to take the $5,800 Preferred 4 Pace at Leamington Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Brother Aidan took command with even-money favourite Woodmere Wyldstyle sitting second through a :28.4 first quarter. Driver Jonathan Hahn tipped Leafs And Wings from third moving to a :59 half and raced within a length of the front passing three-quarters in 1:28.1. Despite losing ground around the final turn, Leafs And Wings straightened for the finish and slid past Brother Aidan to win by a half length in 1:58.3. Brother Aidan held second while Insincerity closed from second over for third.

A 12-year-old stallion by Rambaran, Leafs And Wings won his sixth race from 32 starts this season and his 52nd from 352 overall, earning $516,796. Michael Rogers conditions the $5.20 winner for owner-breeder Gregory Rogers.
