Vaulting off cover, Easy Lover Hanover charged quickest to the finish to deliver as the 5-2 favourite while also winning the $34,000 Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park back-to-back weeks on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding sat fifth to a :26.2 quarter set by Physicallyinclined brushing past Nirvana Seelster for the lead. But Nirvana Seelster soon circled back to the front and led the field through splits of :54.2 and 1:21.4.

Easy Lover Hanover grabbed cover from Casimir Richie P, who pulled first over from fourth rounding the final turn. Driver Doug McNair shot Easy Lover Hanover off the helmet entering the stretch and paced to the finish in :25.4 to edge one length in front of Nirvana Seelster in a 1:48.4 mile. Physicallyinclined gave chase from third.

Owned by Brad Grant, Easy Lover Hanover won his sixth race from 17 starts this season and his 40th from 101 overall, earning $949,869. Ben Wallace trains the $7.10 winner.
