Riccaras Sun Wins Summerside Feature

Riccaras Sun won the Wednesday night feature event in 1:58.3 at Red Shores Summerside with Mike Stevenson driving for owner Kenny MacInnis of Charlottetown

. Jags Rasin was second for Steven Trites while Tobins Star, with Walter Cheverie, completed the triactor.

The Matinee Finals were also staged during the 14-dash program. The Island representatives competed in three divisions presented by the PEI Department of Agriculture.

Sammys Luck, owned by Robert Parsons and driven by Trevor Easter, won the A class while Stracor won the B class for driver Steven Sweet. Sweet completed the series with a victory aboard Glengyle Cody.

Red Shores properties at Summerside and Charlottetown will carry the Little Brown Jug Thursday from Ohio's Delaware County Fairgrounds. The live presentation begins at 11:30 a.m.

Live racing returns to Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park Thursday featuring the Lady Slipper Stakes. Post time is 7 p.m.
