Metro Pace champion Captaintreacherous took a spin around The Red Mile racetrack during Friday morning's qualifying session in preparation for his upcoming Grand Circuit stakes engagements in Lexington, Kentucky.

Tim Tetrick sent the Tony Alagna trained-Captaintreacherous to the lead from the outside post four and rated the colt through fractions of :29.4, :58.2, and 1:27 before sending him home in :26-seconds to stop the teletimer in 1:53 flat. Stablemate Emeritus Maximus and Pat Lachance trainee Sir Richard Z Tam followed approximately three lengths behind in second and third with final quarters of :26.2 and :26, respectively.

Captaintreacherous is being pointed to the Bluegrass Series next on September 29 and the International Stallion Stakes on October 6.
