Moreau got the ball rolling with veteran pacer Julerica, who front-stepped his way to a 1:51.4 triumph in the fourth race for teamster Sylvain Filion.

Iluvmymiumius, who was let go at odds of 10-1, turned a two-hole trip into a 1:55.3 tally in Race 7. Louis-Philippe Roy worked out the beautiful trip for the filly who popped off the rail on the way to the three-quarters and then drew off to win by three lengths over race favourite Pencils Down in 1:55.3. Massiah managed to take home third prize.

The eight-year-old son of Muscle Hill-Precious Lindy marched first over on the way to the three-quarter pole and then used a :27.4 kicker to win by a head over odds-on favourite Spartan General. Third prize went to the rallying Macho Martini. The mile was clocked in 1:53.1.
