It was all David Dowling, all day on the Sunday afternoon (Sept. 20) program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Dowling recorded seven wins in the sulky during the 12-dash card, which catapulted him to top spot in the driver’s standings with 25 seasonal victories.

Dowling’s first four scores came with Rollwithitannie (2:01.3) from the Jeff Holmes stable, Khitam Image (1:59.3) for Marvyn Webster, Rash B Havior (1:58.2) for Mike Peters and Creepin (1:57.4) from the Jonah Moase stable. Love In Paradise (2:00.2) was placed first in Race 9 for Dowling and trainer Sifroi Melanson, and then Winter Blast (1:57.4) rallied to win Race 10 for conditioner Jennifer Doyle. Vegas Rich (1:58.3) was a victor in Race 12 for trainer Jansen Sweet to complete the seven-win performance by Dowling.

Heart And Soul scored a mild upset in the program's $2,700 feature (Race 11) with Brodie MacPhee at the lines for trainer George Riley and owner Riley Farms Ltd., of Summerside. The time of the mile was 1:56 with Mantario (who was driven by Dowling) second and Soccer Hanover (Ken Murphy) third.

Dylans Future captured the Bob MacInnis Memorial in 202.2 for driver Norris Rogers and owner-trainer Frank Banks, of Summerside, PE. The winning groom was Darla MacEachern. All grooms were recognized on the program as part of National Caretakers Appreciation Day an initiative from Standardbred Canada. Red Shores was proud to support along with PCHC and PEISHOA.
