More OBC Action At Delaware County Fair

JJ Hall, Lima Legend and Future Night Train won divisions of Monday’s $54,924 Ohio Breeders Championships for two-year-old trotting colts at the Delaware County

Fair Monday afternoon.

In the first OBC division, JJ Hall trotted in 2:00 flat and gave driver Chip Noble his 97th victory at the Delaware County Fair. The Jailhouse Jesse colt, which was sent off as the 2/5 post-time favourite, led from start to finish and defeated DJ John Boy and Northmedo Wine Guy. JJ Hall, who returned $2.60, $2.40, $2.60 across the board, is trained by Scott Mogan and owned by Douglas Milliard of Woodstock, Ont.

Lima Legend scored his sixth win in a row in the second OBC division in 2:01 for driver Don McKirgan. The son of Jailhouse Jesse trotted to the top just past the three-quarters and easily outdistanced Count Howie and Herschels Hero. Lima Legend ($4.20, $4.40, $4.40) is trained by Dee Hotton and owned by Timura Trotters of Wooster, Ohio.

Dan Noble warmed up for his first Little Brown Jug drive with a United States season’s record 1:58.3 by Future Night Train in the third OBC division. The win was Noble’s fifth of the week. Future Night Train picked up his seventh victory of the season for trainer Richard Kirby and owner Michael Kirby of Rickwood, Ohio. The winner produced $6.80, $3.40, $2.80 across-the-board returns.
