Winning the $7,500 Johnny Conroy Memorial turned out to be a piece of cake for Outlawpositivcharg, who barely broke a sweat to win the Sunday afternoon feature

at Truro Raceway.

The five-year-old son of Blissfull Hall-Electromagnetic shot to immediate command from his pole position starting spot, and once on the lead he didn’t look back for trainer/driver Terry “Rubber Ducky” Gallant. The gelding kicked out panels of :28.1, :57.4 and 1:28 before powering home in 28 seconds to seal the deal in a time of 1:56. It was more than five lengths back to runner-up Astronomical, with Country Estate beaten more than nine lengths.

Outlawpositivcharg, who is owned by Fred Lamont of Calgary, AB, has now won two-in-a-row and improved his 2009 record to 9-3-2 in 16 tries. The lion’s share of the purse pushed his lifetime earnings over $100,000.
