An overwhelming first-over brush sealed the deal for Bugsy Maguire in the Monday afternoon (Sept. 2) featured pace on a special Labour Day program at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway.
Jason Hughes hustled the Wade Sorrie-trained Bugsy Maguire from post seven in the $2,900 Preferred Pace and dropped in fourth at the start, while Dangle Ona Dime (Corey MacPherson) cut out splits of :27.4 and :57.1. Bugsy Maguire began his first-over advance and touched down past three-quarters in 1:26.4, and then kicked to clear to win by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:55.3.
Nogreatmischief (Walter Cheverie) drove into second, with Heartland Eclipse (Darren Crowe) finishing third.

Crowe scored a pair of wins on the card for the Dawn Ellis Abbott stable. Doctor Royal scored in the finale for the duo as a popular winner in 1:57.4, while Nomatterwhen was a 1:59.4 victor.
