The connections of Vanna By The River have paid the $15,000 USD supplement to add the pacing filly to the 56th edition of the Jugette, to be contested Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
Owned by Our Three Sons Stable LLC of Atlanta, Ga., Vanna By The River enters the Jugette in sharp form for trainer Cory Stratton, fresh off a runner‑up finish in the $416,667 Ohio Sire Stakes Final on Sept. 12, missing the victory by just half a length. The consistent daughter of Downbytheseaside-Sweet Ace has hit the board in 13 of 16 starts this season and boosted her career bankroll to $374,758. Her 1:50 lifetime mark was taken in the Independence Day leg of the OHSS at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
The remainder of the Jugette field will be finalized Sunday (Sept. 20) when the entry box closes.
