Co-favourites Dreamfair Van Dam and Gotfaithincowboys were inseparable at the finish line, producing a dead-heat in Northside Downs' top class on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Dreamfair Van Dam (John Kennedy) was the race leader with Gotfaithincowboys (Angus Bates) vacating the pocket to challenge through the final half-mile in the featured $1,300 Winners Over Pace. The pair hit the wire in tandem to share the 1:59 victory while J N J (Roddy Hurley) finished less than a length behind in third over stablemate Putnams Power (Harold Leblanc Jr.).

Northside's 2016 leading trainer Heather Hawkins leases the 11-year-old gelding Dreamfair Van Dam, who is now a seven-time winner this year. Gotfaithincowboys is a six-year-old homebred daughter of Brandons Cowboy, owned and trained by Angus Gillis. The win was her second this month and fifth on the season.
