D Gs Camme trounced his rivals in the $7,500 Johnny Conroy Memorial Pace on Sunday afternoon (September 18) at Truro Raceway, winning by more than 10 lengths.

With Gilles Barrieau in the sulky, D Gs Camme hustled to the lead from post four through a :27.2 first quarter before taking a second quarter breather to the half in :57.1. The favourite began to open up on top to three-quarters in 1:25.3 and expanded his lead to 10-1/2 lengths before reaching the finish line in 1:54.2. Smiley Bayama and Warrawee Phoenix rounded out the top three finishers in the field of five.

Jackie Matheson trains D Gs Camme, who also won the 2014 Conroy Memorial and was a runner-up last year to Clic K. The six-year-old Blissfull Hall gelding is owned by Matheson's father Ron and his Charlottetown partners Quentin Bevan, Hal Bevan and Tom Clark.

D Gs Camme is currently riding a three-race win streak that also includes victories in the J.A. Ferguson Memorial at Northside Downs and the Jennie & Joe Chippin Memorial at Fredericton Raceway. He has won half of his dozen starts this year while banking $25,500 in purses.
