Driver Ryan Holliday sent Spartan Victory to the lead from post seven and rebuffed a challenge from Zorgwijk Jock late in the mile on his way to a 1:58.1 triumph. Justasmalltowngirl followed three-quarters of a length behind in second off a pocket trip while Rolls Blue Chip came from last to show. The fractions were :28.2 to the quarter, :58.1 at the half, and 1:28.1 for three-quarters.
