Many are expecting three-year-old Western Ideal colt Vintage Master to be one of the favourites in next week's Little Brown Jug. This morning during qualifying action at Freehold Raceway, the Adios and Cane Pace winner put in a tightening effort over the half-mile course

.

With Dan Dube in the race bike for trainer Jimmy Takter, Vintage Master went to the lead from Post 6 and made every pole a winning one. The quarter was cut in :28.2 and then the opening half in :57.2.

After rolling past the three-quarters marker in 1:26.2, Vintage Master came home with a :28.1 final quarter and stopped the clock three lengths the best in 1:54.3.

Vintage Master has compiled a record of 3-7-2 from 15 starts this season and banked over $1.03 million.
