Silverwalls, Bozak Take Prospect Splits At Flamboro

The fifth leg of the Prospect Series for two-year-old pacing males was contested in two $8,000 parts on Tuesday (Sept. 17) evening at Flamboro Downs with divisions taken by Silverwalls and Bozak.

Silverwalls won his first career race in the first division with Scott Coulter piloting the winning drive. Silverwalls idled in third through the first quarter in :28.3 before sweeping to the top and taking control of the timer. He maintained his lead through the half in :58.1 and three-quarters in 1:27.2. Opening up down the stretch, Silverwalls was home free by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.2. Five Star Lou (Travis Henry) finished second with Babbling Billy (Samuel Fillion) third.

Silverwalls (Betterthancheddar - Redwalls) is owned by Dale Hunter and trained by Dennis Morissey. He paid $6.00 to win from 2-1 odds.

Bozak made his first start under trainer Brenda Lane a winning one with Brett MacDonald in the bike. The pair left from post four, set the fractions in :29.4, :59.2, and 1:28.3 and then continued on to win by a half length in 1:57.3. Winchester Phoenix (Austin Sorrie) closed sharply, but was unable to catch the leader while Bobby Bone Breaker (Travis Henry) took the show spot.

Brenda, Mark, and Anthony Lane co-own the Dancin Lou - Miss Mittzie Bee gelding. He has three wins in nine starts, winning his last three straight races. From 3-1 odds, he paid $7.60 to win.
