Armbros Revenge A Pots 50th Win

Despite being the oldest in the race, 14-year-old Armbros Revenge A paced to his 50th career victory Tuesday evening at Northfield Park.

The classy campaigner has raced 269 times, winning 50 of them and finishing second and third 33 and 26 times, respectively.

Armbros Revenge A, a son of Armbro Operative-Family Revenge) has career earnings of $246,507 and a lifetime mark of 1:53.2 taken at The Meadows at age 11. The pacer’s richest win was for a purse of $8,100 in a $10,000 claiming race at The Meadows in 2010.

Armbros Revenge A started from the rail and led his competition the entire mile. He posted fractions of :28.2, :58.1, 1:27.3 and 1:56.4 and finished 5-1/2 lengths clear of his closest competitor, Coal Burner. Armbros Revenge A was the heavy favourite and returned $3.20 to win.

Gerald Lee, Jr. of Coal Center, Pennsylvania owns Armbros Revenge A. Trainer Rachel Kaneoka called upon Aaron Merriman to drive for this milestone triumph.
