George and Tina Dennis’ Mack ($9.60, Jim Morand) prevailed in the Monday (Sept. 16) $30,405 Free-For-All Pace feature at Harrington Raceway in 1:53.2.
The seven-year-old Mach Three gelding led most of the way from post five and held off a wide charge from Wehadababyetzaboy for his second win of the year. Iwannabewithyou was third, but disqualified for a pylon violation as Alta Revelry was moved up for the show spot. Mack boosted his seasonal bankroll to nearly $150,000 for trainer Joe Columbo.
Earlier in the card, Midsize Construction’s Tyson Hanover ($5.40, Richard Still) improved to six-for-six this year with a 1:54.2 win. The three-year-old Stay Hungry remained unbeaten in his local debut via a first-over grind with his trainer/driver aboard in a $16,892 conditioned pace.
Ross Wolfenden had three wins on the card, while Trae Porter, Pat Berry and Allan Davis each had doubles.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday (post time 4:30 p.m.) schedule until Oct. 23.
