According to a report, Charlottetown Police have asked officials at Red Shores to keep better control of its horses at the Charlottetown Driving Park after an equine had to be corralled in the streets during early-morning hours
.
An article by cbc.ca explains that the incident is the fourth in recent months where horses escaped the premises and were on the loose.
The most recent incident involved Glencove Umay, who was finally collected close to the corner of Beasley Avenue and Kensington Road at roughly 3:00 a.m. Thursday.
The report goes on to explain that a chain-link fence surrounds much of the CDP, but there are gaps and some driveways don't have gates that can be closed. Horse owners complain there is no overnight security staff on site, according to the report.
