When Bacononabiscuit has seen the starting gate the last three times he ends up visiting the winner’s circle and will try to repeat in the Monday evening, Sept. 16 feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a special 11-dash Monday presentation starting at 6 p.m., with Bacononabiscuit the top selection in the race 10 feature. Adam Merner drives the Melissa Rennie trainee in the $3,100 event for owners Matt and David Burke of Stratford. The four-year-old son of Tobago Cays was an open-length winner his last three starts including a 1:54.1 personal best on Sept. 8.

Spectrum Seelster will look as a major contender from post six in line to David Dowling from the Jennifer Doyle stable. Danny Birt holds the ownership papers on the eight-year-old son of Mach Three as the pacer looks for career win number 36.

Imalookertoo (Brady Sweet) has rail control form the Jeff Holmes barn after knocking off this class on Aug. 24 in 1:55.2.

Also in the field are Avatar J (Ken Murphy), Macho Phil (Marc Campbell), Three Trick Gainer (Corey MacPherson) and Shadows Terror (Jason Hughes).

The Post Time Picks sides with Bacononabiscuit: “Bacononabiscuit was an impressive winner last Sunday cruising to victory in 1:54.1 and closing in a snappy 28.4. He also gets another great post and Merner returns so we’re calling for a Red Shores grand slam.”

Race five has Inverness Invader Heave Away shipping in to post 5 after his last journey to P.E.I. resulted in a 1:53.1 track record for three-year-old pacing stallions at Red Shores Charlottetown. Campbell is back in the race bike for co-owner and trainer Walter Walker and co-owner James MacInnis of Halifax. The American Ideal sophomore has won his last three starts.

His chief rivals include Nolans Magic Shui (Merner) and Spack Jarrow (Murphy).
