Covered Bridge Sells For Six Figures

Covered Bridge, fresh off a win at Harrah's Philadelphia in 1:49.2, led the eight-horse Ron Burke Stable consignment sold on Thursday at onGait.com with a six-figure price tag.

Covered Bridge p,4,1:48.3 ($547,785) brought a final bid of $131,000. Mark Ford of New York was the winning bidder.

Others selling on Thursday included Monis Heaven Cent 3,Q1:56.3, a Muscle Hill three-year-old-old that sold for $28,000 to Robyn Mangiardi of New York; the Hes Watching mare, Better Watch It p,4,1:55.1h, who went to Kevin McDermott of New Jersey for $24,400; and Check One p,2,1:53.3s, an Indiana eligible two-year-old filly that was bought by EVM Racing LLC of Delaware for $16,400.
