Cue the AC/DC. For the second straight week, the feature pace on the Saturday afternoon card of harness racing at Northside Downs provided track announcer Shane Ryan with a bevy (or bonanza) of alliterative opportunities.

A winner in the $1,400 Winners Over Pace one week ago, Blacky Black was favoured in this week's edition and the five-year-old did not disappoint his backers, or his connections. After cruising on the front through fractions of :29.1, :59 and 1:28.3, Blacky Black finished his foes with a :29.4 finale to trip the timer two lengths to the good in 1:58.2. Pocket-riding Pictonian Fancypass (Gerry Snow) was the runner-up yet again with Accelerator (Greg Sparling) finishing third off a ground-saving trip.

Owned, trained and driven by Barry Bates, Blacky Black (The Panderosa - Black Brinny) picked up his fourth win of the season campaign. Since coming to Nova Scotia from Prince Edward Island, Blacky Black boasts a 4-2-0 summary from seven starts.
