Its No Secret earned the first Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Final trophy of her career with a front-stepping score in Friday's $130,000 event for two-year-old pacing fillies at Grand River Raceway.
Kamkar Kutie (James MacDonald) grabbed the lead from the inside post position ahead of Mary Celeste (Trevor Henry) when the wings of the gate folded, but Its No Secret was on the move early as driver Anthony MacDonald sent her from third to first approaching the opening quarter in :28.4.
As the field headed down the backstretch towards the :58.2 half-mile mark, Mary Celeste made her move providing elimination winner Right On Molly (Doug McNair) with cover after that filly was caught wide early on from the outside post eight.
Its No Secret kept Mary Celeste at bay as she raced to three-quarters in 1:27 while the undefeated Right On Molly, who set a 1:54.2 track record in her elimination last week, rallied three-wide before eventually fading to fifth.
Back on top, Its No Secret opened up a couple lengths on her foes turning for home and cruised to victory lane in 1:56.4. The other elimination winner, Kims Royal Day (Billy Davis Jr.), came on for second while Kamkar Kutie rounded out the top three.
Its No Secret, a runner-up to Right On Molly in the elimination round, paid $7.60 to win as the 5-2 second choice.
