Hunger Pangs found the wire first in feature action Monday night at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Marc Campbell was in the driver’s seat of the Blaine McKenna trainee as Hunger Pangs sat the pocket in the $2,900 featured pace and popped out in the final quarter to win in 1:56.1 for owner Susanne MacKeigan. Pacesetter Chocolate Swirl (Driven by Jason Hughes) was second ahead of Coasttocoastshark (Devon Wallace).

Hughes scored a driving triple on the Monday card including a pair of wins from the Deanna Clow barn with Bold N Bad (1:57.3) and Sanchez Blue Chip (2:00.2). Hughes’ other win came aboard Imagine Speed (2:01) from the Oakes Stable of Warren Grove.

Driver Corey MacPherson and Montague trainer Wade Sorrie clicked for a pair of victories with Onehotpenelope (2:03.3) and Pictonian Storm (1:57). MacPherson also put together a colossal upset in race 5 as he steered Private Dancer to a 1:59.3 win for trainer Paul Conway and paid $100.30 for a $2 win ticket.
