Leg three of the Kindergarten Trotting Classic for two-year-olds was raced at The Red Mile on Thursday night with seven divisions - four for fillies and three for colts and gelding - each for a purse of $10,000.
Trainers Julie Miller and Ron Burke each won a pair of the Kindergarten races.
Julie sent out Cee Bee Yes (filly) and Sumatra (colt), both by Muscles Yankee and both driven by Dave Palone, to sharp-looking victories.
Cee Bee Yes won the New Jersey Sires Stakes final at The Meadowlands this summer and lowered her record tonight to 1:55.1 for owners Jason and Douglas Allen. Sumatra has won a few stakes in Pennsylvania earned a new speed badge, entering the sub 1:55 list with his 1:54.4 win. He is owned by the Andy Miller Stable and Barry Guariglia's Black Horse Racing.
Burke's pair were Anonyme Hanover, an Explosive Matter filly, owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Matt Kakaley. She led most of the way in her 1:56.3 win.
Southwind Spirit is the most accomplished son of Muscle Hill and he looked strong this evening, closing out his career-best 1:54.4 win with an effortless :27.2 final quarter. He is owner by Burke Racing S with Weaver & Bruscemi along with Stable 45. Brett Miller drove both Burke winners.
The other two filly splits were won by Yoga in 1:54.4 for trainer/driver Jimmy Takter and Rockenonbroadway (1:55.4) driven by Charlie Norris for trainer Noel Daley.
Kapow Hanover (1:57) was the other colt winner for Brett Miller (his third on the card) and Staffan Lind.
