No Serious Injuries In Mohawk Spill

A scary moment occurred shortly after the start of the fourth race at Mohawk Racetrack on Thursday evening when two-year-old pacing filly Fliponetwothree fell to the track and unseated driver Jody Jamieson. Thankfully, both came away from the incident with no serious injuries.

The filly was floating off the gate from Post 2 and simply put in some steps before stumbling and falling to the track. Jody Jamieson was dumped out of the bike, but he landed on his feet and quickly attended to the fallen filly.

Jamieson was uninjured in the mishap, and reports indicate Fliponetwothree suffered some scrapes and cuts to her knees, nose and shoulder.

Trainer Jeff Gillis of Hillsburgh co-owns the two-year-old daughter of Western Terror-Wafflesicecream with Dr. Mike Wilson of Rockwood, ON.
