A seven-pack of sophomores trekked to The Red Mile on Thursday to contest the $171,000 Nadia Lobell, and the most dominant pacing filly in the division added another major victory and a new lifetime mark to her

ultra-impressive resume.

Put On A Show was a handy winner for driver Tim Tetrick, who got away third with the Chris Ryder-trained phenom before taking charge before the mid-way point. The hulking daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Stienams Place sliced out middle splits of :53.2 and 1:22.2 after Wenditions (Brad Kramer) threw down the :26.3 opening panel.

Put On A Show, who was sent off as the 1-9 favourite, felt mild pressure around the final turn from Dancinwiththestarz (Brian Sears) but that foe wasn’t able to get by. Put On A Show dug in when called on in deep stretch by Tetrick, and she used a :27.2 final frame to post a career-best clocking of 1:49.4. Dancinwiththestarz was second best, with Panagler (John Campbell) finished third. The final cheques went to Wenditions and Tiz To Dream (Ron Pierce).

Craig Henderson of Chicago, IL shares ownership on the filly with Richard and Joanne Young of Coconut Creek, FL. It was the filly’s 10th win of the season in 12 trips postward for the 17-time winner. The lion’s share of the purse boosted her overall bankroll to $1,613,791 with the victory.
