With pylon control, His Boy Elroy will look to call all the shots in the Monday evening (Sept. 12) featured pace at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
The Prince County oval has 11-dashes scheduled for a 6 p.m. (ADT), start time with the $3,000 feature going postward in Race 10. Corey MacPherson gets the driving call aboard His Boy Elroy from post 1 for trainer Phil Sizer and owners Doug Polley of Nova Scotia and Gordon McComb of Ontario. The 10-year-old son of Jeremes Jet scored his 30th win the last time. MacPherson was in the bike.
Walter Cheverie drives 11-year-old Bettors Delight veteran Nogreatmischief from post 3. The pacer has amassed 97 top-three finishes in his career while being trained by Cheverie, who co-owns the pacer with Brian Thompson and Doug Oulton. Also in the field is post 2 starter Dylan Sam (To be driven by Ken Murphy), Hunger Pangs (Adam Merner) with post 4 and Heart And Soul (Jason Hughes) with post 5.
The Backstretch Beat places His Boy Elroy on top at every call.
“His Boy Elroy has back class to burn with over $330,000 in his bank account and 30 lifetime wins. He has the rail, will be the favourite and will see very few, if any, challenges until the final quarter. He is the one to beat.”
Ironside Seelster is the favourite in the Race 9 co-featured pace with MacPherson driving for owners Darla and Zoey MacEachern. Duane MacEachern trains the Thinking Out Loud four-year-old as he leaves from post 2 in the $2,400 class. Team MacEachern has been hot in 2022 as Duane sports a .427 training average while Darla, who trains Race-4 contender Azure Beach (MacPherson), has a .666 training record.
