The third annual Goshen Yearling Sale was held on Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, New York.
Zekefromcabincreek, Hip 18, was the sale topper with a final bid of $50,000. Consigned by Cameo Hills Farm, the So Surreal-Love The Game colt was purchased by Ken Jacobs of Baldwinsville, New York. He is a half-brother to 2014 Jugette runner-up Beautiful Lady ($296,765), Naked At The Beach ($112,756) and Rock My World ($140,938).
So Surreal offspring were the top sellers, with Hickfromfrenchlick, out of My Girls A Star, and Wilt The Stilt, out of Under Your Spell, each selling for $47,000 to round out the three highest priced yearlings. The former colt was purchased by Ray Schnittker of Montgomery, New York while the latter went to Anthony Passafaro of Mamaroneck, New York.
In total, 110 yearlings were sold at the Goshen sale with the average price at $14,323, up from last year's average of $12,158.
