Romantic Moment continued her perfect New York Sire Stakes season on Sunday as Saratoga Raceway hosted a pair of $119,859 divisions for the three-year-old pacing fillies.
Romantic Moment, the overwhelming favourite in the first division, turned back a late challenge from Shelliscape en route to a 1:52.1 triumph for driver Yannick Gingras. Ramalama and Eighthunrdolarbill finished over a length behind in second and third. The American Ideal filly, now five-for-five in NYSS action this year, is trained by Jimmy Takter for Brittany Farms.
The other division was won by heavy favourite Handsoffmycookie, who held off Bettor B Lucky by a head in 1:53.1. Ryder Blue Chip finished three lengths behind in third. Scott DiDomenico trains the Art Major miss for Jfe Enterprise LLC. Last year's divisional winner has won four times in NYSS action this year and was a runner-up on two occasions.
