Colts dominated the first session of Standardbred Canada's Canadian Yearling Sale, now in the books
Hip 22, Occult Master topped the first session. The regally-bred Camluck - Mystic Mistress colt was collared by Millar Farms of Newmarket, Ont. for $180,000 from the Preferred Equine consignment.
Millar also purchased the highest priced filly, Classy Hidden Rose. The Jeremes Jet - Titanic Rose filly, a full sister to impressive two-year-old Classy Lane Rose, was consigned by Peninsula Farm and sold for $95,000.
After a strong Saturday session, 142 yearlings sold for a total of $2.297 million, providing an average of $16,176. Pacing colts ($20,966) and trotting colts ($19,856) provided the highest averages.
