Driver Brad Forward had a big night in Sarnia on Thursday evening thanks in part to a three-win performance in the OSS Grassroots program at Hiawatha Horse Park.

In total he celebrated four wins over the course of the program, but it was his prowess with three-year-old pacing fillies that helped him gain headlines.

He teamed up with trainer Bob McIntosh for two of his wins. Both Power Outage and Tomorrowpan had little problem disposing of the foes they faced in their $24,000 assignments.

Power Outage went gate-to-wire in 1:53.1 en route to defeating Arts Star and Lil Miss Nyalation. It was the fifth win of the season for the homebred daughter of Camluck- Electrical Art, who is owned by Robert McIntosh Stables Inc., Paul Ysebaert, Cliff Grundy and Dave Boyle. She has stashed away $57,125 to date.

Tomorrowpan brushed to the lead shortly past the quarter pole and drew off to win in 1:53.1 over Chief Karen and Joint Effort. The homebred daughter of No Pan Intended-Disneypan won for the third time this season for owner/breeder Peter Pan Stables Inc. of Pepper Pike, OH. The $12,000 payday bumped her overall cash stash to $155,905.

Forward came right back to victory lane the very next race with the Casie Coleman-trained Champale Blue Chip, who took her $24,000 division in a career-best clocking of 1:53.4. The daughter of No Pan Intended-Ichiban Blue Chip survived a first-over trip to win by a head over Mistreos. Rose Seelster rounded out the top three. It was the sixth win of the season in 14 tries for the filly, who lifted her lifetime earnings to $56,770 for owner Tom Hill of Lancashire, GB.

Other divisional winners were Bunny In The Bank (1:53.3), Quiteasassybanana (1:54.1), Mylittlerebel (1:54.3) and Kiss The Glass (1:54.3)
