Tuesday Mohawk Qualifiers In The Books

Published: September 1, 2020 09:17 am EDT

On Tuesday, September 1, Woodbine Mohawk Park hosted a 10-race qualifying session, which featured a variety of Standardbreds that covered a number of age groups and classes.

The fastest win time of the session was recorded in Race 7, as Down Under bred Major League N posted a wire-to-wire win (:27.3, :57.1, 1:26.1) in 1:53.4 for driver Ed Hensley and trainer Ashley Hensley. The seven-year-old daughter of Gotta Go Cullen has been a fixture on the front end during her Mohawk races this summer. With her Tuesday effort, the bay was making her first charted line since July 31. The Hensleys own Major League N, who arrived in North America this past fall.

The session's two-year-old winners included Mooseonyourcaboose (2:00.2), who is a full brother to 2019 Dream Of Glory Trot winner Knight Angel; Saratoga Blue Chip (1:56), who recently competed in the Nassagaweya Stakes; and Bump In The Road (1:57.4), who was participating in her second-ever qualifying race.
