Jewels Dragon Caps Off Five-Win Night For Campbell

Jewels Dragon gave driver Marc Campbell win number five of the evening during the 10-race program on Friday, Aug. 9 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino as Old Home Week racing continued. 

Jewels Dragon ($4.10) won the $2,950 Trevor Tracey - Tracey Family Funeral Home Pace in 1:56 in line to Marc Campbell. The ninth race winner is trained by Campbell's son Landon.

Campbell also won the race five Bob Connelly Memorial Pace in an 8-1 upset with Catch The Spark ($18.70) in 1:59.1 for trainer Brendon Mullen.

The David MacDonald Memorial Pace in race seven went to Thinkingofyoubabe ($2.70) and Campbell in 1:58 for trainer Kyle Wilkie.

Bankroll ($3.60) was another winner for Campbell and Mullen in the race eight In Memory Of Buddy & Joan Shepherd Pace in 1:58.3. 

Campbell also celebrated victory with race two winner Allaboutthecash ($3.50) in a 1:56.3 trip for the Jeff Holmes barn as part of his five-bagger. 

Screen Test ($5.40) won the race six District 17 Liberal Association Pace, stopping the clock in 1:57.3 for trainer/driver Corey MacPherson. It was the second part of a MacPherson training and driving double after race one went to Evil Vintage ($10.80) in 1:57.4. 

Live harness racing continues on Saturday at 4 p.m., with a 16-dash program at Red Shores Charlottetown featuring the first two trials of the Gold Cup and Saucer, presented by Atlantic Lottery.
