Canaco Notable put forth a noteworthy performance for trainer Maurice Houle in the featured $5,800 Winners Over/Not Listed Preferred Pace on Sunday afternoon at Sulky Quebec.

Driven by Marie Claude Auger, the eight-year-old son of Yankee Cam-Canaco Ellamony left from his assigned post position No. 3 and rolled through fractions of :27.3, :56.1 and 1:25.2 before securing a four-length advantage on the field and tripping the teletimer in 1:56.

Buckys Luck (Steeven Genois) closed well for second and Funny Ball Shany (Melanie Plourde) finished third with the winner’s entrymate, Whims N Wishes (Rene Quessy), fading to fourth off a pocket trip.

Houle also co-owns Canaco Notable with Groupe Degimi Inc. of Montreal, Que. The win was the bay’s second of the year in 10 starts and lifted his earnings to $9,317. Canaco Notable has won 25 times in his career and sports a bankroll of $288,446.
