Larjon Lachlan ($6.30) was unstoppable in Wednesday evening's (Aug. 8) featured $8,200 conditioned pace for fillies and mares at Grand River Raceway, drawing away boldly off the home turn to beat her six rivals by 11-3/4 lengths.

Game in defeat in a claiming event last week, the six-year-old Artistic Fella mare yielded to Homegrown Honey (Nick Steward) at the completion of a blistering :27.2 first quarter before retaking and pulling the half back to :57.1. Up the far side, J Harris and Larjon Lachlan started to draw clear, leaving Homegrown Honey — and five others — well in their wake en route to their dominant 1:56.1 score. Braonach (Colin Kelly) rallied off cover to take second from the first-over Margie Valintine (Tyler Borth).

J Js Delivery ($4.40, Travis Cullen) posted a sparkling 1:53.1 time in the evening's $6,800 finale, clearing, yielding and retaking through a :56 half before drawing off to beat Calvin K by five lengths.
