Newfoundland native Kenny Oliver made a guest appearance at St. John’s Raceway on Sunday afternoon, and upon returning he notched a driving triple

.

Oliver, the winning driver of last year’s Gold Cup & Saucer with All The Weapons, got the ball rolling with a victory in Race 3 behind the James Dooling-trained Yuste. The mare halted the teletimer in 2:08.2.

It was an Oliver family reunion in Race 5 when Lifes A Picnic clicked in 2:03.1 for driver Kenny Oliver, trainer Patrick Oliver and owner Andrew Oliver of St. John’s, NL.

Royal Strike Out’s 2:04.3 triumph in Race 7 gave Kenny “The Manhattan Peeper” Oliver the driving triple and Patrick Oliver, who also owns the gelding, the training double. The eight-year-old paced the mile in 2:04.3.
