"There's nothing like sitting behind a real good horse when you pull him out of the hole and he yanks you ahead. The thrills they give you, you never forget."

With horse racing back in Calgary, Horse Racing Alberta has produced an inspiring video celebrating the people, the horses and the new Century Downs racetrack. The video will open the CTV broadcast of the $90,000 Ralph Klein and $70,000 Brad Gunn Stakes for three-year-olds on Saturday, August 8.

Both races will be featured live on CTV Alberta during a special one-hour broadcast from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. MT.

Headlining the glamour boys' Brad Gunn final is First Class Horse, who will leave from post six and is installed as the 3-5 morning line favourite for Hall of Fame trainer and driver Keith Clark. After not racing for two months, the Western Terror colt came back to finish a solid third last weekend against a pair of very good older horses in Sotally Tober and Ghost Pine. That showing saw him pace his own back half in one of the fastest, if not the fastest, final halves in the history of Century Downs -- an eye-popping :54.1 bullet! First Class Horse is owned by Robert Jones of Slave Lake, Alberta and Doris McDougall of Cochrane, Alberta.

Fire Watch is the morning line favourite in the Ralph Klein final for fillies and gets the inner post two this time for young gun Travis Cullen. This Camystic miss went the trip of her life in last weekend's eliminations, parked first-up all the way and staying on to finish a gutsy second-best to upsetter Wrapped To Go. Cullen shares ownership of Fire Watch with his father Ron and Dwayne Taylor of Minto, Manitoba
