Earlier this year, the Standardbred Canada website featured a story of a horse ‘flying’ more than three miles in southern California. Now, a similar story has emerged and video of the event was also captured.
As a report on the website of WTNH explains, emergency crews in Italy recently used a helicopter and harness to remove a horse that had fallen down a cliff in Palermo.
The article states that the horse had been grazing in a field before it fell down the cliff.
Emergency crews were called in when efforts to move the horse did not work.
The report does not explain how long the horse was in the air or how long it ‘flew’ for, but it does state that the horse was reunited with its owner and veterinarians gave the animal an ‘all-clear.’
A similar incident occurred earlier this year, although video footage of that rescue has since been removed.
