Georgian Downs hosted a third leg of the Prospect Series on Sunday night (Aug. 6) with half a dozen two-year-old pacers scoring maiden-breaking wins.

Mario Baillargeon scored a series driving double with first-time winners Jayport Beach Boy and Watch Your Mouth in a pair of $8,700 divisions for colts and geldings.

Jayport Beach Boy, a McWicked brother to 2020 Horse of the Year Century Farroh, was a 1:57.4 wire-to-wire winner in his third start for Thestable Jayportbeachboy. Baillargeon also trains the gelding out of the Real Desire mare, Beachy Girl. Jayport Beach Boy held off the favoured Jimmy Billie B from the pocket and Chesusmurphyjoesph up the inside to win by 1-1/4 lengths.

Also making his third start a successful outing,  9-5 co-favourite Watch Your Mouth (Hes Watching-Hudson Gal) looped Lyons Zephr early and held him off late to win in 1:58.2 by a head over a track later downgraded to 'good' for trainer Harry Poulton and owner Anco Capital Management Inc. Letjimitakeover rounded out the top three finish order.

Trainer Jared Bothwell's Island Warrior was the fastest colt winner, sweeping from third to first after the midway mark and drawing away from his competition in the stretch to win by more than eight lengths in 1:56.3 with Jason Ryan in the bike. The Artspeak-Canary Island colt also broke his maiden in his third career start. Top picks Ballykeel Painter and Bettors Rush finished second and third, respectively.

The fastest of three $8,900 filly division winners was Cheddar Crossing in 1:57.3 for trainer Blake MacIntosh and Hutt Racing Stable. Tyler Borth sent the Betterthancheddar-Bunker Away miss to the lead at the three-quarters mark after following in third position early on and held off the resurgent 4-5 favourite Wheres My Phone by half a length to win her fifth start. Scrappy closed outside for third.

The other filly divisions were clocked in matching 1:58.1 miles by Rocks Shadow (Betterthancheddar-Roxanna Hanover) for the driving and training team of Louis and Vicki Gregg and Wicked Bling (McWicked-Bombilla Hanover) for the Anthonys -- driver Haughan and trainer Beaton.
