D Gs Camme won the Saturday night feature event at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park in 1:55.3.

Driver Gilles Barrieau attempted to send D Gs Camme to the lead from his outside post in the $2,400 Preferred, but that plan didn’t work after they met some stiff opposition rounding the first turn. The duo decided to sit fifth to the opening quarter put up by All Turain (Corey MacPherson) in a swift :27.4. D Gs Camme was on the move en route to the half in :57.1 before taking command past the three-quarter marker in 1:26. The Jackie Matheson trainee won by half a length over All Turain while Oh To Be Me (Gary Chappell) was third. D Gs Camme earned his second win in a row for the local ownership team of Quentin and Hal Bevan, Tom Clark and Ron Matheson.

Veteran driver Gary Chappell scored a hat-trick on the program with wins aboard Textually Active, Unstoppable Speed and longshot Fly With Max, who returned $30.80 to win. Unstoppable Speed provided Jill MacLean with her first career training win in just her fourth start. Her nine-year-old Benvolio Hanover gelding prevailed by a neck in 1:59.3 over Sanchez Blue Chip.

Ramblinglily captured the $2,350 Open Mares Pace in 1:55 flat for the fastest mile of the night and her third straight victory. Walter Cheverie was in the bike for trainer Allan Jones and his co-owner Normand Leger of Shediac, N.B.

Marc Campbell notched a driving double with Freddie in the $1,950 Open Trot and Daylyn Horizon. The 1:59.3 win for Freddie was his third in a row. He is owned by the Three Wisemen Stable of Cornwall, P.E.I.
