Yet another track record was set at Monticello Raceway during the New York Sire Stakes season on Monday, Aug. 5 when three-year-old pacing filly Shes A Streaker raced to a 1:52.2 triumph.

Driven by Tyler Buter for trainer Ron Burke, Shes A Streaker shaved one-fifth of a second off the old divisional track record Romantic Moment set in 2012, winning the $169,167 New York Sire Stakes by a half-length over the 1-9 favourite, The Last Martini.

Fansville (Colin Kelly) set torrid fractions with the opening panel clocked in :26.2 and the half in :55.2. At the mid-mile juncture, favourite The Last Martini (Jason Bartlett) started her first-over trip from third followed by Shes A Streaker. Passing the next station in 1:23.1, The Last Martini collared pacesetter Fansville in the paddock turn. She looked like a clear winner, but Shes A Streaker exploded in the final strides to snatch the win away in record time at 9-1 odds. Mrs Cheese (Matt Kakaley) took third, 3-3/4 lengths behind.

Shes A Streaker is now four-for-10 this year, with three of her wins in Sire Stakes action. The daughter of Huntsville and Mikayla Rose is on the verge of passing her freshman earnings total, with $193,231 already banked in her sophomore campaign for owners Burke Racing Stable of Fredericktown, Pennsylvania, Knox Services of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Frank Baldachino of Harvey Cedars, New Jersey and Jandt Silva - Purnel And Libby of Ocean Ridge, Florida.

Driver Matt Kakaley swept the pair of $27,778 Excelsior Series divisions with the George Ducharme trainee Beantown Deuce in a career-best equalling 1:54.4 and Time To Strike in 1:54 for trainer Travis Alexander.
