The oval known as Little Saratoga treated its fans to a nine-race card Monday afternoon in Dresden, Ontario and the husband and wife duo of driver Marc. St. Louis and trainer Danielle St. Louis had a very productive day at the office.
They joined forces to win three races, and Marc tacked on another pair of catch-driving wins to bring his daily win total to five.
They kicked off the card taking the opener with Big Is Better (1:59.3), and they also celebrated wins as a team in Race 6 with Lady Everlong (2:00) and again in Race 8 with Tinas War (2:02.3). Marc added wins with thee Ashley Duford-trained Eagle Scout (2:02.3) in Race 2 and then with the Daniel Mills-trained Donovans Z Tam (2:00.4) in Race 3.
Marc pushed his yearly win total to 240 thanks to the five-win performance, while his seasonal earnings climbed to $1,133,504. The career winner of 1,729 races has racked up career earnings in excess of $6.3 million.
Danielle has enjoyed a record-setting season by her own standards when it comes to wins (89) and earnings ($362,047). She’s sent out 276 winners to date for purse earnings in excess of $1.1 million.
