Hall of Famer Dave Palone enjoyed one of the ‘winningest’ single programs of his career Tuesday at The Meadows when he piloted nine winners — including Cowgirl Hall in the feature.
Palone’s best single-card haul came April 21, 2008, when he collected 11 victories. He also drove 10 winners at The Meadows on Sept. 11, 1999 and again on July 6, 2002.
In Tuesday’s feature, an $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot, Cowgirl Hall once again was uncatchable on the front end as she sailed to victory — her second straight and third in the last four starts — in 1:54.1. Classic Belisima raced well first over for second, 1-1/4 lengths back, with Kandian Klub third.
Ron Burke trains Cowgirl Hall, a six-year-old daughter of Cash Hall-Centerfold Hall who now boasts $754,428 in lifetime earnings, for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Jack Piatt III and Michael Rosenthal.
