Swinging Beauty recorded her first sub-1:50 victory for Team McNair in the $42,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace on Friday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Leaving from post two in a field scratched down to five, Monkey On My Wheel and Paul MacDonell fired to command and carved out an opening panel of :27 before being confronted by Tea Party Princess.

Mike Saftic sent Tea Party Princess from third to first and hit the half in :54.4, but Monkey On My Wheel moved back out to challenge and applied heavy pressure to the 1:22.4 three-quarters mark as Swinging Beauty made her move from fourth with three-time Friday night winner Doug McNair in the bike.

The top two battled down the lane while McNair showed Swinging Beauty the three-path and zipped by to score in 1:49.4 by two and a half lengths. Dreamfair Eternal (Billy Davis Jr.) closed from last to place over Tea Party Princess.

Swinging Beauty paid $8.70 to win as the 3-1 third choice. The four-year-old daughter of Art Major is trained by Gregg McNair for New York owners William Switala and James Martin. The victory was her second in a row and eighth lifetime, pushing her bankroll to $537,455.
