As Clinton Raceway makes final preparations for closing day of the 2018 season, the line up of wiener dogs for the inaugural race has been finalized, and these cute long dogs are chomping at the bone to hit the track for the very first time.
The nine-dog field will run approximately 20 metres on the track, following the eighth race on the 12-race card. Post time for the 38th Annual Charity Driver's Challenge is set for 1:30 p.m. this Sunday (Sept. 2).
The addition of the wiener dog race will be add to an already stellar line up of harness racing, food and entertainment, all as a fundraiser for the Tanner Steffler Foundation. The winner will take home some pretty awesome hardware and an amazing prize from local sponsor Sun Country Retail, valued at $300.
Admission and parking are always free at the Huron County oval. The season closer caps off a 15-week schedule.
