Having had not seen action since the $350,000 Valley Forge at Chester Racetrack on August 16, multiple stakes winning filly Not Enough qualified this morning

at Mohawk Racetrack.

The three-year-old Grinfromeartoear filly took part in the fourth dash of Mohawk's seven-race docket.

Paired with driver Mark MacDonald, Not Enough left from Post 2 and was third through a tepid 29-second opening quarter. On the move first-up along the backstretch, the three-year-old filly was overland in second at the :57.4 half-mile marker; and was second by one and a half lengths at the 1:27.2 three quarters. The student of trainer Tracy Brainard was in command by the head of the stretch and went on to motor away by more than seven lengths in 1:55. The filly threw up a :27.2 final quarter.

Not Enough has won 10 of 11 starts this year and banked $965,910. The filly has tallied victories in the Lismore, Fan Hanover, Canadian Breeders Championships and the Mistletoe Shalee in addition to sweeping an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series event.

Earlier, another Brainard pupil had kicked off the qualifying session with an impressive mile as well. After starting from Post 7 in Race 1, two-year-old Artsplace colt Western Expression led every step of the way for driver Luc Ouellette. The Brainard-trained daughter of Artsplace cruised home with a :29.1 final quarter to post a five and three-quarter length margin of victory in 1:56.4.

Young trotters took to the course in Race 2 and the familiar duo of driver Steve Condren and trainer Bob McIntosh clicked with juvenile Striking Sahbra filly Tyrone Showgirl. Condren worked out a pocket trip with the bay, which responded by closing out its mile with a :29.3 final quarter en route to a half-length victory in 2:00.4.

A field of juvenile trotters went forth in Race 3, as well. The Norm Dunstan-trained and Mike Saftic-driven Lexis Noah left from Post 7 and stepped to a half-length victory in gate-to-wire style. The Malabar Maple colt stopped the final timer in 2:00.

Other winners on the qualifying card included three-year-old Windsongs Legacy colt My Jewels (2:01.4), four-year-old Camluck gelding Master Charge (1:56) and seven-year-old Striking Sahbra gelding Mystical Ryan (1:57.4).
