New Wagering Options At Batavia

Batavia Downs has announced that it will have a new wagering menu when racing resumes on Wednesday, September 2

.

Batavia currently offers two Pick-4 wagers nightly on Races 2 through 5 and 7 through 10. “We are reducing the minimum to 50 cents,” Batavia vice president Michael D. Kane said via release. “The Pick-4 is one of our most popular wagers and by dropping the minimum we’re hoping to increase the size of the pool. We’ve had too many three-out-of-four payoffs this season and by dropping the minimum that should take care of that problem.”

Also being added are five more superfecta wagers. Superfecta wagering will now be offered on all races with the exception of Races 1, 2 and 7.

"We’re listening to our customers who have indicated that they want more superfectas, so we decided to add five as long as there are enough betting interests. We didn’t add them to every race because we want to protect our early double and the Pick-4s by offering one less pool to wager on in those races.”

The Batavia stakes season continues on Wednesday, September 2 with three divisions of New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings. Each carries a purse of $56,590. First-race post time is 7:05 p.m.
